APC Produces Governorship Candidates Across States, Concludes Kwara Primary

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has concluded its governorship primaries in several states ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Incumbent governors who secured the ticket are Umar Namadi (Jigawa), Sheriff Oborevwori (Delta), Uba Sani (Kaduna), Ahmed Aliyu (Sokoto), Mohammed Umar Bago (Niger), and Dikko Umar Radda (Katsina).

The party had earlier postponed primaries in Kwara and Bauchi due to internal issues.

However, the Kwara primary has now been held, with **Rt. Hon. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu**, Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, emerging victorious after polling 94,990 votes.

While some primaries in other states have generated disputes and petitions, APC stakeholders described the successful completion of the Kwara exercise as a positive step towards party stability ahead of the 2027 elections. The Bauchi primary outcome is still awaited.
