A prominent Igbomina leader, Chief Dr. S. O. Aboyeji (PEN, CPI, JP), has congratulated Sir Chief Bisi Fakayode and members of his executive on their inauguration as the new leadership of Egbe Omo Igbomina, Kwara State, describing the occasion as a historic and promising beginning for Igbomina land.

Speaking after the inauguration ceremony, Aboyeji expressed confidence in Fakayode’s capacity to lead, noting that he has known the new president for a long time and has consistently observed his inclusive disposition, humility, intelligence and strong human relations. He said Fakayode’s personality has earned him wide respect, admiration and goodwill across Igbomina communities.

According to Aboyeji, Fakayode’s acceptance speech was “thorough, down-to-earth and clearly a product of deep preparation,” adding that the president unveiled well-structured, realistic and achievable plans before what he described as an unprecedented gathering of Igbomina sons and daughters.

“The crowd at the inauguration was a mammoth one, made up of traditional rulers, Christian leaders, chief imams, local government chairmen, representatives of the state government, past executives, community leaders, youths, men and women from across Igbomina land. Such a gathering has rarely been seen before,” he said.

Aboyeji further commended the newly inaugurated executive members, describing them as experienced, goal-oriented and development-driven individuals with the zeal and determination to translate plans into concrete achievements. He urged the Igbomina people to adopt a positive and achievement-focused mindset in supporting the new leadership to ensure the realization of its development agenda.

He noted that the wide acceptance and strong turnout at the event were clear indications that both God and the people are with the new leadership, while reminding the executive that time is precious and that expectations are high.

“History is waiting. Achievements are tied to action. We want to see action,” Aboyeji said, as he wished the president and his team a successful tenure marked by growth, development and unity for the people and land of Igbomina.

He concluded by praying for divine guidance, strength and wisdom for Fakayode and his executive, expressing optimism that under their visionary and purposeful leadership, Igbomina land would “grow, glow and shine to a higher pedestal.”
